About KeyGuru

An independent educational resource for examination score calculation, response-sheet analysis and practical exam guidance.

What is KeyGuru?

KeyGuru.in is an educational website built to help candidates understand and analyse examination response sheets after an examination authority makes them available. The site combines examination-specific score calculators with explanatory articles covering marking schemes, negative marking, score calculation, answer-key objections and related examination procedures.

The purpose of KeyGuru is practical: instead of requiring a candidate to manually compare every response with an answer key and calculate marks, a supported KeyGuru calculator can organise the available response-sheet information and apply the marking rules configured for that particular examination.

Important: KeyGuru calculations are informational. The final answer key, scorecard, result, percentile, rank and selection decision issued by the relevant examination authority remain authoritative.

About the Author

Thaseen Fathima, author of KeyGuru

Thaseen Fathima (Thaseen) is the author and creator of KeyGuru. She is a B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) student at Vignan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Visakhapatnam, and a tech enthusiast with an interest in blogging and in building simple, useful tools for everyday people.

KeyGuru grew out of that interest: after major recruitment and entrance examinations, thousands of candidates want to know their score quickly, so she builds examination-specific calculators and writes the guides that explain the marking rules, notification details and score arithmetic behind them. Suggestions and corrections are welcome through the contact page.

What KeyGuru Provides

Score Calculators

Examination-specific tools that calculate marks from supported response-sheet information using the marking configuration applicable to that examination.

Response Analysis

Where supported, the tools identify questions, candidate responses and answer information and present the resulting score details in an organised format.

Exam Guides

Articles explain marking schemes, negative marking, score conversion, response sheets and answer-key objection procedures.

How KeyGuru Calculators Work

The implementation can differ between examinations because response-sheet formats and marking rules are not identical. A typical supported workflow is:

1. Response Sheet

The candidate provides the response-sheet URL or other information requested by the examination-specific calculator.

2. Question Data

The supported tool reads the available response-sheet structure and identifies relevant question and candidate-response information.

3. Mark Calculation

The configured positive marks, negative marks and examination-specific rules are applied to produce the calculator's result.

Technical note: Some KeyGuru PHP calculators retrieve the submitted response-sheet page on the server before parsing the HTML. Therefore, KeyGuru does not describe every calculator as purely client-side processing.

Accuracy & Editorial Approach

Examination rules can change from one recruitment or examination cycle to another. KeyGuru therefore treats each calculator as an examination-specific utility rather than applying one universal formula to every examination.

Independent Educational Resource

KeyGuru is an independent website and is not the official website of NTA, SSC, Railway Recruitment Boards, IBPS, SBI or state examination authorities. Examination names, notifications, answer keys and other official materials remain the property or responsibility of their respective authorities.

For official examination dates, eligibility conditions, answer keys, results, scorecards and objection procedures, candidates should always consult the relevant authority's official portal and notification.

Contact KeyGuru
